Bah bah bah bah bah... I woke up this morning and I rubbed my eyes I looked out the window to my surprise The sun was shining brightly in the sky Well the birds were sining a song for me And the blossoms in the cherry tree Were blooming for the whole world to see So I jumped out of bed with nothing to loose I'm shaking off these winter blues Feeling like the world is evergreen Gonna go outside Gonna look around Gonna let this sunshine come on down Everything is beautiful and free Cause... CHORUS: Spring! Spring is an amazing thing! With the birds and the bees and the flowers You go outside and you play all day And you don't come in for hours Bah bah bah bah bah... Gonna ride my bike in the neighborhood Gonna see my friends I'm feeling good Come on out You know it's time to play We can set up a stand and sell lemonade Won't you take my hand We've got it made Everything is beautiful today Well... CHORUS And there ain't no good reason To miss out on this season of love

It may have been my best or only friend A first edition of exquisite composition Please allow me just to sit right down and read Of vaudeville families, they're the bees knees Read to yourself or read aloud Read all alone or in a crowd Read in the rain or in the snow Read on a break or on the go Read, read, read a book and see You might find out just who you want to be Read, read, read a book to me Way up high in a house up in a tree (Kings and Queens and Superhero things) (One plus one plus one it equals three) Use your blueish-brownish eyes Find a book, get lost inside Alice fell into a hole Your adventure to be told Crack the spine and make it mine Pop a squat for story-time Like Peter Pan to Captain Hook The best man wins in every book Those children raised with fractions And the chemical reactions So refractive and attractive and intelligently active Say what? (Right there!) Oh that? (Yeah, that!) It's nothing, just a scratch Cause I got the itch to read a book And scratched so hard, it never took

Daddy, what if the sun stopped shining? What would happen then? If the sun stopped shining, you'd be so surprised You'd stare at the heavens with wide open eyes, And the wind would carry your light to the skies And the sun would start shining again. But, Daddy, what if the wind stopped blowing? What would happen then? If the wind stopped blowing, then the land would be dry, And your boat wouldn't sail and, your kite wouldn't fly, And the grass would see your trouble and she'd tell the wind, And the wind would start blowing again. But, Daddy, what if the grass stopped growing? What would happen then? Well, if the grass stopped growing you'd probably cry, And the ground would be watered by the tears from your eyes, And like your love for me, that grass would grow so high. Yes, the grass would start growing again. But, Daddy, what if I stopped loving you? What would happen then? If you stopped loving me, then the grass would stop growing, The sun would stop shining and the wind would stop blowing. So you see, if you wanna keep this old world a'going, You'd better start loving me again, again... You better start loving me again. You better start loving me again. You better start loving me again. All about Shel Silverstein: http://www.musictory.com/music/Shel+Silverstein
